Ok, well, this one didn't pan out quite like Momma wanted.

This quote here:
"Now he needs to really buckle down and get studying and get ready for the big event."

just didn't happen this time.

And, hubby and I often mix up the schedules - his very last campout with the kiddos with Indian Guides and Indian Princesses was the same weekend of the Challenge.

(That is a program you shall certainly see me blogging about - through tears, of course - WONDERFUL PROGRAM!!)

So he wouldn't of been able to go, anyway. Which, in and of itself, is disappointing enough, but, he just didn't put any effort into the thing. That - was sorely disappointing.

Maybe next time. Well, definitely next time - because if he agrees to do a thing similar and then does not pour all of his effort into it, well, I may have to put him up for adoption. ;) Or take away all privileges (read:video games and the like) and force the kid to follow through and not let people (read:teachers, other students, excited parents) down.

This year was just all too complicated to really punish him, I think. What with being new here, and now moving, and the campout...ugh!
