That's funny that she laughed at herself over it, too - not too mention very self-confident of her! When my kids were little, I labeled everything in the house with little pieces of paper with the word of that thing on it. Telephone, chair, window, blinds, etc., etc.... The only tough part was the bathroom - I didn't have a labeler, so they were all just on regular paper - and yes, the humidity did them in! :D That’s really cool, Kristen! Like if she wanted me to get her a cup of water then I would ask her to spell c-u-p. She would go "hide" somewhere and quietly work it out in her head. I remember one of her first ah-ha moments one day when she asked me to spell the word butterfly. She had been spelling it phonetically but when she saw it written out she started laughing at herself for how different her spelling was to the real spelling.
