It is interesting how schools differ the world over. I grew up in Malta and I ended school on the last day of June and started on the first day of October. 3 Months of holidays. And still weren't enough!!
My son is Manx and they get 6 - 8 weeks of Summer holidays, starting end July and beginning Early to Mid September. Intriguingly I hear parents say they are too long. Not quite the way I remembered it as a kid!! Glad to say I had longer holiday time :)
