About Mrs. Lisa

Hello! Thank you for visiting my blog! I’m Mrs. Lisa and I LOVE children and I LOVE books!

And I have three children of my own, and they LOVE books, too! ;)

That’s a picture of my sweet little bookworms and I around New Year’s 2004. I think their dad was at the deer lease that day.

Here is a picture of all five of us from last fall. We are standing on the pirate ship that their dad built for their marching show. They all march in the band at their high school. I’m so very proud of them!

I know how much children love getting their very own mail, and because I love to tell kids all about really cool books and encourage them to read, I started My Very Own Mail.

Do you know a child who would love to get mail?

Do you know a child who loves to do crafts?

Do you know a child who could use some help getting excited about reading?

Then, head on over to…

  1. Not sure if this is right for you, but I am a newly published writer and am willing to offer my novel up to you for review. The title of my book is Anti-Christ: A Satirical End of Days. A little risque but very tongue and cheek, it’s a satire on western civilization. As long as you don’t take it too seriously then it’s a hoot!

  2. Having been a student librarian in Methodist Boys’ Secondary School in Kuala Lumpur
    I’m also a book lover.

However, after finding out that I don’t often read the books that I bought,
I decided to read borrowed books (mainly from public libraries).

It’s a good idea to inculcate the reading habit in young children. Keep it up!

    Happy Reading To All Readers!

  3. Hi,

I stumbled upon your site today and was quite impressed. I really liked the design. Did you make it yourself?

I wanted to let you know about ReadPrint.com — a massive non-profit library similar to Bartleby — except its far better organized and user friendly. We’ve been using it extensively in school nowadays — it’s great for doing research since you can search within the books.

  4. Thank you for the info….
